No Such Interface Supported Error When Using DataSocket in LabWindows/CVI

Issue Details

When using DataSocket communication in LabWindows/CVI I am getting the following error from the DS_Open() function:

(return value == -2147467262 [0x80004002]). No such interface supported.

Solution

This issue could happen in LabWindows/CVI due to a corrupt component of the DataSocket Library, to solve this error repair DataSocket components in NI Package Manager. For this:

  1.  Click the setting options in the top right and make sure all the checkboxes in the Content section are selected.

2. Search for DataSocket in the installed packages, selecting the LabWindows/CVI DataSocket Library Runtime and LabWindows/CVI DataSocket Library Side-By-Side Runtime and Repair them.
