Issue Details

When deploying a custom VCOM VeriStand Project more than once, the following is seen:

  • SIGSEGV memory violation occurs
  • when reconnecting, the following error is seen:

Error -307853 occurred at Server TCP Interface. Mib:TCP Connection Manager.vi: 7430001

Possible reason(s): NI VeriStand: The VeriStand Gatevvay nas unable to establish a connecton with the target. Confirm that the target is running and that the VeriStand Engine has started. If you still cannot connect to the target, use MAX to reinstall the NI VeriStand Run-Time Engine to the target. NI VeriStand: Error 63 occurred at TCP Open Connection Server TCP Interface Ivlib :TCP Connecton Manager 7430001 to redeploy.

This indicates that the Gateway cannot see the target. A restart of the Linux RT target is required.

This is not observed with an NI-VCOM_AE_example project.

Solution

This is a bug which is fixed in the VCOM 2025Q1 release. The issue resulted in crashing the LVRT on undeploy, requiring a reboot of the RT system before redeployment. Upgrade to VCOM 2025Q1 or a newer version to avoid crashes with large .arxml files.
