Issue Details

When I check the disk capacity using the command prompt and NI MAX, it displays as 387 MB instead of the 512 MB specified in the documentation. Why does the actual memory differ from the specified value?

The command prompt and NI MAX displayed are as follows:

Solution

NI Linux RT is reserving some space, making it inaccessible to the user. The myRIO likely reserves over 100MB of disk space for its own use, which is why only approximately 387MB of total available space is visible. Although the specification sheet states that the myRIO has 512MB of nonvolatile memory, not all of it is available for user use.
