Important Notes
- Power Off First: Always power off the chassis and disconnect the power cord before performing any hardware configuration changes.
- Handle Components Safely:
- Use proper tools to avoid damaging internal components.
- Never remove or insert a controller or card while the chassis is powered on, as this can damage the devices.
Steps to Configure
1. Prepare the Chassis:
- Place the chassis on a stable surface and ensure it is powered off.
- Disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Access the Backplane:
- Remove the system controller or corresponding slot cover.
- For easier access, you may remove additional PXI cards or slot covers.
3. Locate the DIP Switches:
- Look into the chassis from the front. The backplane board contains four DIP switches located close to each other.
- Refer to the diagram below to identify the exact location.

4. Adjust DIP Switch #2 (PWR):
- Toggle the second switch from the bottom to the left. This sets the chassis to Manual Mode.

5. Reconnect Power:
- Put Controller and PXI Cards back into the controller.
- Reattach the AC power cord.
