Issue Details

I am using PCIe-6738 and trying to generate an analog output voltage by creating a task in NI MAX. But an error is shown as below. The same error happens when I am using a simulated NI-DAQmx device.

MISSING INPUTS:
One or more of the inputs to this step are not selected. Insert a step before this step which has an output that matches the type of signal this step requires.

Solution

Firstly, confirm that you have a physical DAQ device connected, the compatible N-DAQmx driver installed and you can see the device in NI MAX or have created simulated NI-DAQmx device available in MAX.

This above error might because of DAQmx was installed incorrectly in the computer, or it became corrupted at some point. In order to solve this problem, repairing DAQmx driver using NIPM or forcing the reinstallation of DAQmx driver.
