Issue Details

  • I have downloaded NI Linux Device Drivers and NI-DMM driver on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). When I connect to the USB-4065 from Linux (Ubuntu 22.04), it was not recognized by NI Hardware Configuration Utility. I have already confirmed that I can connect from a Windows terminal. Why does the USB-4065 is not recognized when connected from Linux OS?
  • Does the NI-DMM for USB-4065 is not supported on Linux OS?

Solution

USB-4065 is not supported to be used on Linux operating system (OS), since NI-DMM driver does not support USB interface on Linux OS. NI-DMM driver only supports PXI/PXIe interface on Linux OS. Connecting to the USB-4065 from a Linux OS may cause an error to appear in the NI Hardware Configuration Utility.

You can check the NI Hardware and Software Operating System Compatibility to confirm whether your device is compatible with the Linux OS that you have.
