Does PXIe-8880 Supports Windows 10 IoT LTSC?

Issue Details

Currently, my PXIe controller's operating system (OS) is Windows 10 IoT SAC. Since Windows 10 will reach end of support in 2025, I am planning to change my PXIe-8880's OS to Windows 10 IoT LTSC. Does the PXIe-8880 controller support Windows 10 IoT LTSC?

Solution

Since the PXIe-8880 is no longer available for purchase and is currently in its Limited Support Lifecycle Phase, NI will not provide Windows 10 IoT LTSC 21H2 support for this controller.


The Windows 10 IoT LTSC 21H2 Field Upgrade Kit (PN 790578-03) officially supports only the PXIe-8861, PXIe-8881, and PXIe-88x2 controllers.
