Parsing Error Occurs When Selecting a Database in NI VCOM

Issue Details

When selecting a database file from the RBSConfig screen in an NI VCOM custom device to create a new network, a parsing error occurs.

 

How should I correctly load the database file?

Solution

To resolve this error, open the database file once in the XNET Database Editor and export it to DBC from the XNET Database Editor.

If you want to export to DBC using an older XNET Database Editor, select a cluster, right-click, and choose Export to DBC.

If you are using a newer XNET Database Editor, you can also export by selecting a cluster and choosing Export Cluster as DBC.

Please specify and open the DBC file exported using either method again in the RBSConfig screen.

Additional Information

The option to export to DBC is not displayed unless a cluster is selected. Make sure to right-click while the target cluster is selected.
