Parameters Can't be Saved in XNET RT Remote Capture of Wireshark

Issue Details

I refer to Monitoring NI-XNET Automotive Ethernet Traffic Using Wireshark to capture Ethernet traffic with Wireshark. I have filled the parameters in XNET RT Remote Capture and checked save parameter(s) on capture start. The traffic can be captured successfully. But when I want to start the capture the next time, I will get the error:

What should I do?

Solution

It is a known issue of XNET driver. The parameters are not saved on capture start. If you are using NI-XNET 2024 Q3 and prior versions, you have to fill the parameters every time before you start the capture. The issue has been fixed in XNET 2025 Q1 release officially. Upgrading to XNET 2025 Q1 and later versions will resolve this issue.
