To configure the X-axis in the View Panel you may need to Band Zoom function in Diadem. To have a better understanding, you can refer to below steps:
1) Click on Band Zoom at the left top of the Diadem Toolbar:
2) After clicking on Band Zoom your cursor will change to the Band Zoom symbol: 
3) From the curve click on the minimum of the X-axis value that you need the curve to begin.
4) Lastly, from the same curve click on the maximum X-axis value that you want to end the curve. Then you will get a curve that is configured as the begin value and end value. For example below, my first click is 20 sec (x-axis) and my second click is 40 sec (x-axis):
