RFmxVNA Error -380589 When Running Electronic Calibration

Issue Details

I recently updated my RFmx VNA software to a new version and I am now getting the error -380589: Resource Not Found whenever I try to run the electronic calibration process.

Solution

This issue is most likely caused by a software version mismatch between the RFmx VNA and NI-RFSA. The versions of RFmx VNA and NI-RFSA must be identical in order for it to run properly. 

 

You can follow the article Determine the Version of the NI Software Installed on My Computer to see what versions of RFmx VNA and NI-RFSA you currently have installed. Then, update the NI-RFSA driver to match the version of RFmx VNA that is installed. 

Additional Information

It is recommended to have the same versions of NI-RFSA, NI-RFSG and RFmx installed on your system to prevent any driver related issues. New releases of NI-RFSA, NI-RFSG and RFmx are released at the same time and have the same version ID as each other (e.g. NI-RFSA 2024Q4 is released at the same time as NI-RFSG 2024Q4 and RFmx 2024Q4).
