Unable to Find Any Target When Using Two VPNs Simultaneously

Issue Details

I am using two different VPNs simultaneously, but neither NI MAX nor LabVIEW can find the target, though the target can be pinged and accessed through the SSH session. How can I resolve this issue?

Solution

If it is necessary to use two VPNs at the same time, it is important firstly to configure them because the traffic should be routed properly. One of the possible solutions is to set up a split tunneling. Contact your IT admin to configure the setup properly.

Before proceeding with setting up two VPN connections, it is important to note the following disadvantages:

  • There can be significant connection speed drops
  • You might receive routing errors in case one of the services takes over another

These disadvantages can lead to unexpected behaviors and data losses. Additionally, since the VPNs are third-party products, any unexpected behavior or issue is not supported by NI.
