Issue Details

I'm looking for the ESR (equivalent series resistance) when measuring capacitance in a PXIe-4190. Is this value in the specifications?

Solution

This value can be observed in the PXIe-4190 Specifications accuracy tables:
  • For ESR at resonance, the impedance row in the magnitude tables has the information needed. 
  • For ESR far away from resonance, the phase accuracy tables needs to be considered for the impedance of the capacitor at the frequency of interest.
