Difference Result When Comparing VI Using LabVIEW VI Comparison Tool and LVCompare.exe

Issue Details

I used the LabVIEW VI Comparison Tool and LVCompare.exe to compare the VI I am currently working with. I noticed that the LabVIEW VI Comparison Tool provides more detailed information than LVCompare.exe. Could you explain why there is a difference?

Solution

The differences between the command line in LVCompare.exe and the LabVIEW VI Comparison Tool were expected in releases prior to LabVIEW 2024 Q3. The command line comparison was intentionally designed to be more succinct.

However, in the LabVIEW 2024 Q3 release, R&D updated LVCompare.exe to provide more detailed information, similar to the LabVIEW VI Comparison Tool.
