Capture SystemLink Forwarding Service Windows Event Logs

The Windows Event Viewer can be used to access application error events for the SystemLink Forwarding Service. This is most useful when the Forwarding Service is crashing.

The forwarding service will only send error events to Windows Event View, you can use this guide to collect these event logs if you are troubleshooting problems with the SystemLink Forwarding Service.

 

1.    Search for Event Viewer in the Windows search bar and launch it. You can also press <Windows key-R>, type "eventvwr" and click Ok to launch the Event Viewer.
2.    Navigate to Windows Logs >> Application in the tree in the left pane.
3.    Click Filter Current Log... in the right pane.
4.    Select “.NET Runtime” and “nisystemlinkforwarding.exe” in the Event Source drop down menu.

5.    You can select the relevant events and click Save Selected Events in the right pane.
