NI MAX Does Not Recognize PXIe-6545 when Used Together with PXIe-8861

Issue Details

  • When I use PXIe-6545 together with PXIe-8840 controller, the PXIe-6545 LED lit green and can be recognized in NI MAX. However, when I use the same PXIe-6545 with PXIe-8861, the PXIe-6545 LED remains off and it cannot be recognized in NI MAX. I want to use the PXIe-6545 together with PXIe-8861.
  • After resetting NI MAX, the PXIe-6545 can be recognized in NI MAX when used together with PXIe-8861. However, if the system is being shut down and start again after that, the PXIe-8861 is not recognized again in NI MAX.

Solution

Since the issue still happened even after resetting the NI MAX database, check the firmware of the devices that you are currently using. If the firmware of the devices is outdated, you need to download and install the latest firmware for your devices.
