Can SH96F-96M-5 be Replaced by SH96-96-2?

I own a SH96-96-2 cable, and I need a cable to use with my PXIe-4330. Since PXIe-4330 requires SH96F-96M-5 and SH96-96-2 looks identical, may I use SH96-96-2 with PXIe-4330?

Solution

No. SH96-96-2 is not compatible with PXIe-4330. Although SH96F-96M-5 and SH96-96-2 look identical, they are not similar because they have different keying. Forcefully using incompatible cables on the instrument might damage the instrument's connector and cable. This could lead to a loose connection and contribute to inconsistent performance and behavior of the instrument.
