Will Baud Rate Drop With Increase of Serial port Use?

Issue Details

My hardware using is PCie-8431/16 and configure it with max baud rate of 3Mpbs. Will the baud rate drop if increase in serial ports using?

Solution

No. Max Baud Rate is a property of the serial transceiver itself and should not be impacted by usage of additional serial ports as long as the computer resources are sufficient to handle communicating on all the ports simultaneously.
