Issue Details

When calibrating a module, I get error 1003 when initializing my power meter in Calibration Executive:

Solution

If the power meter is from Rohde & Schwarz, make sure to have installed the required drivers for it, as documented in the Calibration Executive Operating Requirements.
Also, make sure that you're selecting the Visa Resource name and not the USB one, as this will cause this error as well.

Additional Information

The USB option will not open a VISA session for the device being used.

If the error persists, there might be a corruption in the installation, and clean-reinstalling all NI software or reimaging the computer might help solve the issue.
