How to Receive Service on SET GMBH Systems through NI.com

This is meant to be a catch for SET customer that are trying to receive service for their systems through the new NI.com channel.

I have a system that I purchased from SET GMBH and am looking to create a Service Request through NI.com.  How can I do this to receive support and service for my system?

Following the acquisition of SET GmbH (SET) by National Instruments Corporation (NI), we have been working on integrating SET into the wider NI team and processes. This Knowledge Base is to inform you of some critical changes to the service you receive on your SET products and how to receive service through NI.com channels.

Streamlined Service Request Process: Starting April 29, 2024, you should request service directly from NI. Whether you have a technical query or need assistance with your SET products, visit ni.com/support to access our comprehensive support resources and submit your service request in 5 simple steps:


Step 1: Visit ni.com/support and click “Request Support”, then click “Open a Service Request”. 

Step 2: Login with your NI profile. If you do not have a login, you can create one for free.

Step 3: Select “Repair” as the desired service.

Step 4: Locate and click on the “this form” for systems (“If you need help with an application-specific system, such as the Semiconductor Test System (STS) or the ECU Test System, please use this form instead”.)

Step 5: Select “SET” under “System Name.” Fill out the rest of the form and submit to create the case. An Engineer will be in touch with you.

Filling out this form will send a service request to NI Technical Support and they will reach out to you directly.  Please allow 1-2 business days for a reply and please include if there is an urgency around issues.
