Issue Details

When I place the Get Date/Time LabVIEW VI on the block diagram, where does this VI take the date and time from?

Solution

The Get Date/Time VI takes the date and time from the system it runs on. So if your VI is running on your PC, it takes the date and time from your PC.

On the other hand, if your VI runs on a real-time target like cRIO, it takes the date and time from your target's system.
