Edge Referencing in the Caliper Function of NI Vision Development Module

Issue Details

How does Caliper function in Vision Development Module track the edge/s reference/s it's associated with? Also, if I change the name of the step involved in the calculation in the Caliper function, does Caliper update it automatically or should I change it myself?

Solution

The Caliper function references the edge by the edge-detecting step name and the edge number.

Also if you change the name of the edge-detecting step, you need to update the name in the caliper step as well, it will not get updated automatically.
