Why can't my computer boot into Windows after installing DAQmx 20.0?

Issue Details

I need to install DAQmx 20.0 on my Windows 7 SP1 system. The readme file states that DAQmx 20.0 supports Windows 7 SP1.
During the installation process, I keep getting Windows Security alerts.

However, after I installed DAQmx 20.0, I could not enter Windows and the following prompt appeared. How can I solve this problem?

Solution

This is because newer versions of DAQmx and other driver software require Windows 7 SP1 to have the corresponding update (KB 3033929) installed. You can check whether this update is installed by navigating to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features > Installed Updates.
