Example Code of Sound & Vibration Can not Run

Issue Details

I need to use LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit, but some examples VIs especially for condition monitoring can not run with broken execution button.
I tried to install the LabVIEW and LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit in 3 different computers, but all of them show the same problem. Software version I installed as below:
  • NI Package Manager Latest version 2024
  • LabVIEW 32-bit and 64-bit 2024 Q1, English
  • LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit 2023 Q3 (compatible with LabVIEW 2022 Q3 and later)

Some examples run well, but the other examples can not run as below.

Solution

This is a known issue which is seen with LabVIEW 2024. 

Workaround:

  1. For LabVIEW 32-bit, copy LVASPT_TFA.dll from C:\Program Files\NI\LVAddons\aspt32\1\resource to C:\Windows\SysWOW64
  2. For LabVIEW 64-bit, copy LVASPT_TFA.dll from C:\Program Files\NI\LVAddons\aspt64\1\resource to C:\Windows\System32
  3. Relaunch LabVIEW
Besides, LabVIEW version 2021 along with LabVIEW Sound and Vibration Toolkit version 2021 works well. We can use it first.
