How To Enable SYNC Pass , SFD Pass And STS Pass Functions When Running UWB ModAcc Example

  • Ultra-Wideband Test Toolkit

When you use PXIe-5840 and loopback the RF port. The generation and ModAcc analysis are based on the UWB LV examples. Only following settings are changed:

* Resource Name: (Same as VST)

* Channel: 2 (Because 5840 can only support <6GHz)

However, you could not get a True result for the SYNC, SFD and STS Pass. What's wrong with my settings? How could you fix the issue ?

1.Running the examples MaxEye 802.15.4 UWB Signal Generation.vi and MaxEye 802.15.4 UWB RFSA Modulation Accuracy.vi for loopback testing;

You can see the lights of SYNC Pass , SFD Pass and STS Pass seemly did not work ;

2.Check the RFSA side parameters , you can found the Auto Detection Enabled as default value True;

3.Changed the value of  Auto Detection Enabled as False , then re-run the example MaxEye 802.15.4 UWB RFSA Modulation Accuracy.vi.

After disabled the Auto Detection Enabled function , you can see the Sync Pass , SFD Pass And STS Pass functions are normal working ; 

Remark: Why there are only Sync Pass , SFD Pass lighting on is case of the SP0 configuration ; SP0 packet don't have the STS information ; You can refer to below STS configurations help ;
