Why Is The Icons Missing In Hardware Configuration Utility?

Issue Details

NI MAX displays icons next to product name and license category.

What would be the convention in HWCU? Would we have icons to display? if yes, will they be reused from MAX or have to create new?

Solution

The short answer is - no icons for hardware. The icons are shown only for ports. Much more detailed images are shown in context help.

In the NI Hardware Configuration Utility, the product icons is not shown next to each item in the main hardware diagram. Instead icons only show on the left representing the various types of ports, like Network, USB, Serial, MXI.
