Error -1074102162 When Initializing My NI PXIe-6571

Issue Details

I am using a NI SMU and PXIe-6571 in my test sequence. The NI SMU will occasionally throws error and then our test sequence will skip the close session step of the PXIe-6571.  When we try to run the test sequence again, we encounter the error -1074102162 in the PXIe-6571 initialize step every time.

Each time when this error happens, windows will turn into blue screen for 10 seconds. Only ac power cycle can fix this issue. Why is this happening?  
The driver used is Digital Pattern Driver 19.0.1.

Solution

There is  a bug reported aimed at understanding and fixing the blue screen that occurs after the error, but the error -1074102162 is expected when the NI-Digital driver session is not properly closed. The error refers to a DMA transfer that did not finish running and it is reset after powering the device down.

It is recommended that users ensure that the digital session is properly closed before attempting to use the digital pattern instrument.
