Error -201377 When Using NI-DAQmx With a Real-Time Controller in LabVIEW

Issue Details

I have a data acquisition system, based on an NI Linux Real-Time (RT) controller and different DAQ modules that are being accessed and controlled through the NI-DAQmx driver. Even though I am setting the corresponding NI-DAQmx tasks correctly, I keep getting error -201377, when trying to start the task.
 
Error -201377 occurred at an unidentified location
 
Possible reason(s):
 
Device is unusable while firmware update is in progress.

I have reviewed in NI MAX the current status of my RT controller, and I am not currently upgrading the firmware. What could be causing the issue?

Solution

Error -201377 could be caused by not having the latest available firmware version installed on your RT controller. To solve the issue, upgrade the firmware on your controller:
