PXI-4110 and PXIe-1090 Compatibility

Issue Details

I have PXI-4110 and PXIe-1090 for the chassis. When I slotted PXI-4110 into hybrid slot on PXIe-1090, the PXI-4110 was not detected in NI MAX.

Solution

PXI-4110 isn't compatible with the PXIe-1090 because of power requirements on -12V rail. The PXIe-1090 is only capable of 0.25A @ -12V, and the PXI-4110 requires 3W typical. That means the max the chassis can supply is the typical that the module needs. So, when the module goes above its typical max it can cause a problem with the rail.
