Error -1074097810 When Running Ranged Self-Calibration for the PXIe-5842 with 54 GHz Frequency Extension

Issue Details

When attempting to run the ranged self-calibration on the PXIe-5842 with 54 GHz Frequency Extension and the frequency range is set to anything other than the full range (i.e. min frequency ≠ 0 and max frequency ≠ ∞) in InstrumentStudio, I get the following out of range error:

I will get the same error in LabVIEW when using either the NI-RFSG or NI-RFSA Self Calibrate Range VI and the frequency range is set to anything other than the full range:

Solution

This error occurs because the ranged self-calibration has not been implemented for the PXIe-5842 with 54 GHz Frequency Extension. It is recommenced to perform the full self-calibration of the PXIe-5842 with 54 GHz Frequency Extension. 

Ranged self-calibration is supported for the standalone PXIe-5842 VST.
