What Is The Recommended Chassis Fan Speed at Room Temperature For NI PXIe-5842?

Issue Details

I am using the NI PXIe-5842 housed inside the PXIe-1092. I wonder if this the device should be used with high fan or auto?

The will be using in lab environment with temp 23-25°C.

Looking at the getting started page is down at the moment, there was no preference mentioned in this regard, only chassis cooling capacity was specified.

Solution

The PXIe-5842 requires 82W or more slot cooling capacity, see PXIe-5842 System Requirements. The PXIe-1092 chassis specifications lists an 58W/82W profile with an auto fan setting up to 30°C ambient temperature.
