Using the Deployment License For NI DIAdem Versions before 2022

Issue Details

I bought a DIAdem deployment license. I try to activate DIAdem with it, but the activation fails.
When trying to use the Activation Code Generation tool, I can only select version 2022 and newer, but I am using an older DIAdem version.

Solution

NI only released the DIAdem Deployment License in 2022. Therefore, the needed files are only available in the installers for DIAdem 2022 and onwards.

To use the DIAdem Deployment license with DIAdem versions before 2022:

1. Install DIAdem 2022 or newer on the same computer.
2. Open NI License Manager, and use your license to activate the Deployment License entry for the additionally installed version.
3. Start DIAdem in the desired version and check, that everything works as expected.

Activating the entry for a newer version will also unlock the same features for older software versions, even if the entry of the older version is not activated or does not exist.

If you already have DIAdem 2022 or newer installed on one computer, you can copy the file DIAdem_DPL_PKG_xxxxxx.lc (xxxxxx depends on the installed version) from this computer to your other computers. The folder for the file is C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\License Manager\Licenses. After copying the file, do steps 2 and 3 as mentioned above.
