Issue Details

I have developed some custom steps for TestStand and modified them. When I modify the custom step, I see the type conflict dialog box below, which prompts me to choose between the custom step or the existing step in the sequence file. In this situation, I can choose the modified custom step and the dialog box will go away for this specific sequence file, but I have an issue to apply this one by one  if I have a lot of sequence file.

Its there a way to update the custom step and apply to all the test sequences?

Solution

You can achieve this by following the steps below:
  1. Open the sequence file <TestStand>\Components\Tools\FixUpSeqFiles.seq and run MainSequence.
  2. The sequence will display the following dialog box. Browse to the directory that contains your sequence files and change the settings to avoid prompting as shown.
