Issue Details

When opening a .seq file in TestStand the sequence doesn't open and this error appears:

File format error. The file '... .seq' is not a sequence file.
Error Code: -17100, Incorrect file format.
Source: 'TSAPI'

The error is shown in the following dialog box.

Solution

An error like this indicates that the .seq file is corrupted.
Currently there is no tool or method available that can fully recover such damaged files.
The sequence file should be manually recreated in TestStand.

Additional Information

A file can become corrupted if a process handling it doesn't exit cleanly, e.g. the program crashes.
