NI-XNET: (Hex 0xBFF63227) Failed Communication With the Real-Time Target

Issue Details

I have LabVIEW 2018 SP1 and NI-XNET 18.5 installed on my PC. On the NI cRIO-9045, I have installed LabVIEW Real-Time 18.5.0. Although the driver and software versions are the same and compatible I am receiving the following error.
NI-XNET: (Hex 0xBFF63227) Remote communication with the LabVIEW RT target failed because the host and target have different XNET versions installed. Solution: Install the same version of XNET on the target system as is installed on the host.

Solution

The reason for this error, when you have compatible versions installed on your system, can be the corruption of the .DLL files that are being used by the NI-XNET driver. Even regular updates of the Windows Operating System can cause this issue.
Try to reinstall or repair the NI-XNET driver on your PC to properly overwrite the DLL files and solve the issue.
