PXIe Controller Shows TSC_DEADLINE Disabled Due To Errata

Issue Details

I am getting the following error after successfully provisioning my PXIe-8840 Quad-Core to NI Linux Real-Time operating system, followed by restarting the system. Why did this error occur? How did I resolve it?

Solution

The TSC_DEADLINE message is expected on the PXIe-8840 Quad-Core controller. It has no impact on the operation of the controller. Intel released a patch, but it is not included in the PXIe-8840 Quad-Core BIOS because it does not impact the controller's performance.

This TSC_DEADLINE message could be ignored, and the PXIe-8840 Quad-Core can be used as usual.
