Unable to Access User Database in Multisim

Issue Details

When I open Mutisim 10.1, I first receive an empty error message, and then a second message: Database Version: [User Database] cannot be accessed. I can continue to use Multisim, but I cannot access my user database. Why am I getting this message should I fix this?

Solution

This error is most likely caused by the user database being set as a read-only file type. This can be done by right-clicking the file icon under Windows File Explorer and selecting Properties. You can change the file type to read-write.

You can locate your user data path by following these steps:
1. Open Mutisim 10.1
2. Select Options >> Global Options
3. Select the Paths tab and note the user database location
4. Browse the location under the Window browser
