Issue Details

Are all Thunderbolt™ 3 optical Cables compatible with a PXIe-1090?
I want to connect my PXIe-1090 over the 3 meters expansion provided by NI. Is it possible to use a longer optical Thunderbolt™ 3 Cable for my configuration?
 

Solution

As long as the cable is Thunderbolt™ 3 certified it should work with the PXIe -1090.
 

Additional Information

We have verified with Thunderbolt™ 3 Cables up to 50 meters and they do not report any issues/differences in terms of performance.
