Issue Details

While self calibrating my VST on a Linux operating system, a broadcast message such as “kernel: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s!” appeared on all active terminal sessions from rsyslog as shown in the below figure.  Is this expected behavior?  How can I resolve this issue?

Solution

These messages are benign and do not inhibit the driver from functioning correctly.

The broadcast message can be suppressed by configuring the rsyslog service. Refer to the RSyslog manual (and Linux Distribution specific manual, if applicable) for more information.
