Installer Options Greyed Out in TestStand Deployment Utility

Issue Details

  • I am trying to use the TestStand™ Deployment Utility to create a deployable image of my TestStand system but the Installer Options tab is greyed out. Why is this?
  • Whenever I try to specify Installer Options in TestStand Deployment Utility, I cannot select the tab. How can I fix this?

Solution

To enable the Installer Options tab, follow the steps below:

1. Verify that the MSI-Based Installer is selected as the Output type under the Mode tab, as shown below.

  • If Deployable Image Only is selected, the Deployment Utility will only move the deployment files into the specified image directory.
  • The MSI-Based Installer creates an installer in addition to a deployable image. Refer to Mode Tab - TestStand Deployment Utility for further details.

2. If the tab remains inaccessible after changing the Output type, uninstall and then reinstall TestStand.
