Self-Test for R Series Multifunction RIO Not Present in NI MAX

Issue Details

  • I'm trying to perform a Self-Test on my NI 78xxR device in NI MAX, but the option is not present. How can I fix this?
  • I cannot find the NI 78xxR Calibration Utility on my PC. Where is it located?
  • I have NI-RIO installed on my computer but I can't find the VIs used for a PCIe-7842R Self-Test. Am I missing something?

Solution

The R Series Multifunction RIO Self-Test and Self-Calibration VIs will be available as long as a suitable version of LabVIEW and NI-RIO have been installed. To find the supporting files, follow the steps below:
  1. Verify that a compatible version of NI-RIO and LabVIEW have been installed.
  2. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\R Series to find the Calibration Utility.
  3. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW <version>\vi.lib\LabVIEW Targets\FPGA\RIO\R Series\78XXR\783XR\Calibration\Public for the supporting Self-Test VIs.
