Baud Rate for Analog Input C Series Modules

Issue Details

  • I have a sensor outputting digital data, which is connected to my analog input module. How can I make sure that the analog input can read the digital signal adequately?
  • Why doesn’t my analog input module’s specifications page include the baud rate?

Solution

The baud rate is applicable to digital signals only, and it is not recommended to use an analog input module to read a digital signal. Therefore, there is no baud rate property associated with analog modules.

In the analog signals, the sample rate is the relevant property, which can be found in the respective specification pages of the analog modules.
