Trigger Routing for PXIe Chassis Sporadically Changes in Measurement & Automation Explorer (NI MAX)

Issue Details

When setting the Trigger Routing in NI MAX for the PXIe chassis to static "away from bus X", after restarting the computer, the trigger routing will sometimes sporadically change "dynamic".

If you then try to change the trigger routing back to static "away from bus X" the follow error message appears.

Solution

There are a couple of options to resolve this issue:
  1. Reset  the NI MAX Database.
  2. Reinstall or update PXI Platform Services.
  3. Disable the intel VT-d setting of BIOS.
