Issue Details

I would like to use NI Server Explorer as an OPC Client Application to access Shared Variable from my OPC server but I am not sure if it is compatible with my OS.

Solution

NI Server Explorer is a free-to-use OPC Client Application but has been obsoleted. Therefore, NI is not actively monitoring, documenting, developing and supporting this OPC Client Application. NI Server Explorer is only compatible with Windows 7 and Windows XP. If you would like to access Shared Variables on your OPC server, it is highly recommended to use OPC Quick Client that ships with the LabVIEW DSC Module.
