Creating NI Software and Driver Feed in SystemLink™ Server Under Different Network Saturations

This article explains how to leverage NI SystemLink to manage software on client devices in different network environments: a public network and a local area network (LAN).

1. Set up the NI SystemLink Server and access the server through a web browser. Then navigate to the Package Repository page, which is located under Systems Management.

2. Create a new feed and give it a descriptive name that is easy to identify. Then select the appropriate platform type based on the operating system of the target device where the feed will be installed.

3. Navigate to the Feed Settings page and add the relevant packages. The remaining steps depend on the network environment in which the SystemLink Server is deployed.

For SystemLink Servers Operating on a Public Network

1. Click the Import the Packages from ni.com Downloads
   
   
2. Use filter to search the software and version you want to add into this feed.
   
   
3. Import all of them and wait for the download process to be completed.
   
   

For SystemLink Servers Operating on a Local Network

1. Download the offline installer (.iso file).

2. Copy the installer to the machine which running the SystemLink server and double click and open it.
3. Click the Import Packages from Remote Feeds and input the feed folder path into URL, like F:\feeds\xxx

4. The SystemLink server will load all related packages automatically and click Import to add all of them.
