Comsoft Functions Are Missing in LabVIEW 2020/2021 After Installing NI-PROFINET for PXI

Issue Details

I installed the NI-PROFINET for PXI 2.0.1 driver, but I cannot find the Comsoft Library in the Addons palette for LabVIEW 2020/2021. How can I add them to my function palette?

Solution

To use the API with LabVIEW 2020 or 2021, the VIs must be added to the function palette manually.

Use the libraries attached to this KnowledgeBase article to manually add them to the function palette. Download the ZIP archive, and follow the instructions below: 
  1. Extract all the files from the Comsoft.lib.zip archive.
  2. Inside the extracted folder, copy the Comsoft.llb folder to <Program Files (x86)>\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2020 or 2021\vi.lib\addons.
  3. Open LabVIEW [2020 or 2021], and confirm that the Comsoft Library was added to the Addons Palette.
