The 2019.2 First Robotics Competition (FRC) Update Suite included a number of changes to the system, without this update, there may be problems when trying to connect to the FRC robot on the field.

This guide steps through the update process, you will need the most recent version of the NI FRC Update Suite installed on all of your computers (your development machine(s), as well as the computer you use during matches).

  1. Update your Dashboard to the newest version.

    1. Download the 2019.2.2_LVDashboard.zip file that is attached at the bottom of this document and extract it in your hard drive.
    2. Close all running applications in your computer (including LabVIEW, the FRC Dashboard and FRC Driver Station).
    3. Copy the Program Files (x86) folder
    4. Navigate to your C:\ drive and paste the Program Files (x86) folder. Select the "replace" option to merge the contents and update the relevant VIs.
      1. Note for international teams: if your computer is not in English, copy the contents inside the Zip file's Program Files (x86) folder to your local Program Files (x86). (For example: Archivos de Programa (x86), in Spanish).

  1. If you're using the default Dashboard no other modifications are needed.

  1. If you are using a custom LabVIEW Dashboard:

  1. Open your Dashboard project in LabVIEW to reload the updated VIs.

  1. Add a way to check the robot's IP: use the path C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2018\vi.lib\Rock Robotics\WPI\Dashboard to open a File Explorer window, and drag/drop the file WPI_DashboardGet Robot IP.vi directly to the Dashboard Main Block Diagram.
