Why do I see this error and how can I fix the same?

Solution

The error appears mainly because of network communication or permission issues. Try the following steps to resolve the problem:
  1. Verify if the client computer running DIAdem is able to ping the SystemLink server machine running DataFinder.
  2. If the client and the server systems are a part of a domain, verify if the client has been added correctly to the same domain that the server is a part of. Follow the steps provided in the Additional Information section to confirm the same.
