VeriStand UI Manager Crashes with DateTime Out of Range Exception

Issue Details

When I try to launch the UI Manager from VeriStand, it immediately crashes with the message Veristand.UIManager encountered a problem and must exit.

When I check the crash log for VeriStand located at C:\Users\[your username]\Documents\LabVIEW Data\LVInternalReports, I see the following exception message:

ErrorId: 0xDEADBEEF
Error message:
    The DateTime represented by the string is out of range.
Exception:
    FormatException
Suggestion:
    Contact National Instruments to report this error

Solution

This problem can occur if the date, time, or region settings are not set correctly on your computer. Check the following:
  • In the Region settings of your Windows PC, the Country or Region is set correctly.
  • The time zone is correct.
  • The date and time (include daylight saving time) are correct.
