NI PXIe-4162 Accuracy When Subtracting Two Simultaneous Measurements

Issue Details

I want to make to simultaneous measurements with two channels of PXIe-4162. Could the error exceed 10 mV, as the datasheet mentions that the the accuracy is +- 5 mV + 0.05 % of measured voltage.  

Solution

Part of the error value is the offset of the device, which cannot be different for two channels during simultaneous measurements. The error would exceed 10 mV only if one of the channels had 5 mV error, and the other -5 mV. This would require the offset to be different for the to channels, which cannot happen. Moreover, as you are subtracting the result of the measurements the offset value will be removed from the error, and you will get a more accurate measurement as a result.
